George Sodini Blogged About Gym Attack
PITTSBURGH, Pa., Aug. 5 (TOTI) --

George Sodini, the 48 year old man believed to have opened fire at a Pennsylvania LA Fitness center, blogged about his deadly plan
before he carried it out Tuesday night.

According to reports, Sodini entered a fitness class, turned out the lights and began shooting. Three women were killed and several were
injured before Sodini committed suicide by turning the gun on himself. There were approximately 30 people attending the class at the
time of the shooting.

In his blog, Sodini disclosed that the attack was spurred for numerous reasons including not having a girlfriend, feeling alienated and
because he hadn't had sex in twenty years.

An August 2 blog entry reads, "The biggest problem of all is not having relationships or friends, but not being able to achieve and acquire
what I desire in those or many other areas."

"Everything stays the same regardless of the effert [sic] I put in. If I had control over my life then I would be happier. But for the past 30 years, I have not."

Investigators believe that Sodini cased the gym for almost a year before the tragic event.
In his blog, Sodini described women at the gym as "young girls here [that] look so beautiful as to not be human, very edible."

As is the case with other mass murderers, Sodini left behind a manifesto to explain the motives for the killings and stated that he wanted
the press to freely publish any of his writings, since "he was dead anyway." He planned an earlier attack in November 2008, but didn't carry
through with the plan at that time, citing his desire to find out who would be the next United States President.

Sodini worked as a computer programmer and was never married.
