Ashley Simpson-Wentz Heads To Broadway
The bright lights of Broadway are calling for Ashley Simpson-Wentz, who just finished a stint on Melrose Place. It’s a reunion of sorts for Ashley, the sister of Jessica Simpson and the wife of Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz. She will reprise her role as Roxie Hart in the long-running musical Chicago.
“I’m honored to be returning to the stage and joining this amazing cast. Being on Broadway is a childhood dream come true,” said Ashley.
Although Ashley played in Chicago before, it was in London. This new performance will actually mark her Broadway debut.
Simpson and Wentz have a baby boy, Bronx, together. He will turn one year old on November 20.
Despite her firing on Melrose Place by the CW, it looks like Simpson-Wentz has bounced back quickly.
