Black face in the year 2006? Who’d a thunk it?

Does the world really need Angelina Jolie to play a black woman? Certainly there must be at least a few people capable of realistically portraying a bi-racial woman. Hmm, perhaps Oscar-Winning Halle Berry might be a no-brainer? Well apparently Hollywood isn’t hip to that idea. Thandie Newton was stunned by the new look for Jolie.

Thandie told me: “God I’m shocked. She’s been blacked up to play a black women. I have to say it’s surprising, very surprising.”

A number of women of color probably would have loved to play the part, but none of them is banging the producer, Brad Pitt, the way Angelina is.
