Ja Rule And Lil Wayne Arrested In NYC
The Big Apple ended up being Big Trouble for New York rappers Ja Rule and Lil’ Wayne. The two were arrested in separate incidents over the weekend.
Ja Rule was busted for smoking marijuana outside of a tour bus near the Beacon Theater in Manhattan. He was caught smoking a fattie with a pal by local cops. When he was booked, they found a .40 caliber gun. Both men were charged with criminal possession of a firearm and marijuana.
Lil Wayne was busted for speeding about an hour prior to Ja’s arrest. He was driving a luxury sedan with two other men. Officers arrested everyone in the car and a subsequent search turned up another .40 caliber pistol.
The two share the same record label and no one was available for immediate comment on their arrest. There’s no word on whether they have attorneys, either.
