Larry Hagman Kicks The Need For Insulin
Larry Hagman, best known for playing the role of J.R. Ewing on the 1980’s primetime soap opera, Dallas, has made moves to improve his health, lose weight and has kicked his dependency for insulin to treat diabetes.
The actor embarked on a health kick of diet and exercise and lost 20 pounds, breaking his need to take the blood sugar controlling drug.
A source told National Enquirer, “Larry’s in great shape. He has lost weight, picked up tons of energy and is keeping a really busy schedule.”
Hagman, 78, developed diabetes after having a liver transplant in 1995. The disease required him to take take 5 insulin shots a day.
The source said that Larry Hagman worked out with free weights, elliptical trainers and walked to lose weight and ultimately defeat diabetes.
Just goes to show you that where there is a will, there is a way. Congratulations to Larry Hagman!
