Samantha Ronson Sues Perez Hilton
Toss another lawsuit on the Barbe’ for pink-haired gossip gangsta Perez Hilton. This time it’s not pilfered photos at the heart of the matter, but instead good old-fashioned libel. It looks like the new media will not escape from the same type of lawsuits that are so prevalent with offline gossip rags. Ronson has taken exception with reports that she’s gabbing about her best friend Lindsay Lohan for cash, as well as the insinuation that it was her cocaine in the car when Lohan first landed in trouble.
According to the New York Daily News, Ronson has become increasingly upset after she was named as the person tipping off the media about Lohan gossip – for cash.
Ronson is also taking issue with Internet reports suggesting she was responsible for the cocaine found in Lohan’s car after the actress was arrested for drink driving back in May (07).
No word on a response from Perez Hilton. I could imagine that “Take a number, hunny!” is what he says when another lawsuit comes in due to his intrepid internet reporting.
