Perfect Fish Batter

This is a bulk batter for fresh fish of all sorts. Use as needed and store the rest in airtight containers or a Ziplock baggie.

What you’ll need:

  • 5 pounds Corn Meal
  • 3 ounces garlic powder
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 Tablespoons pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  • 1 Teaspoon Cayenne Red Pepper

Mix all dry ingredients well.

When breading fish, beat 2 eggs and one cup milk in flat baking dish and coat fish fillets in it.

Put needed dry batter mix in a paper bag or ziplock bag.

Shake fish until it’s well coated and cook in peanut oil heated to 375 degrees. Fry fish until they are golden brown. Remove and Enjoy!
