One thing that you always to remember is to be clean when you’re working in the kitchen. Use common sense since germs and bacteria are easily spread when you’re preparing food. Here are some tips for working in a clean kitchen.

  • Wash your hands frequently with warm water and soap while preparing and cooking foods.
  • Rinse off fruits and vegetables before eating them.
  • Use 2 clean knives when slicing and dicing meats and veggies. One for the meat - the other for the veggies. Be sure to wash or use a different cutting board, too!
  • If preparing chicken, be sure to wash away any “juices,” as this may contain bacteria that can give you a serious case of food poisoning.
  • Clean up afterwards. If you don’t feel like doing it yourself, appoint someone else to do the job - You did the cooking after all!

I hope these tips remind you how important it is to keep it clean in the kitchen. No one wants to feel bad..
