However smart contributors who have participated in these events know that there will likely be an upgrade option to allow the submission of one or two more gifts than the free option permits.

These OTO's, as they are called, sometimes annoy members who expect to immediately be able to see their free gifts when they login. But the OTO works strongly in favor of the contributor, who is able to earn a sizeable commission from sales made to the members that they have referred to the event.
