The Harley Medical Group Reports High Fliers Have Facelifts To Keep Pace

LONDON, ENGLAND, November 28, 2008 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Harley Medical Group, the UK largest cosmetic surgery provider, has revealed that youth boosting ops are booming as older workers look to compete with their younger counterparts. Figures show that bookings for surgery amongst 45-65 year olds doubled in 2008 and Botox treatments are up 51% year on year.

Clinic staff at the Harley Medical Group's 23 clinics across the UK say they're increasingly seeing patients who want to look as young as they feel, particularly as competition for jobs becomes fiercer during the credit crunch.

Liz Dale, Director of the Harley Medical Group, commented: "People are looking for ways to keep themselves one step ahead of their colleagues. Most patients think about cosmetic surgery for many years and office competition simply acts as a catalyst."

She added: "It's not just older patients who cite this as a reason, many of our patients at the City clinic, especially men, are using cosmetic treatments such as Botox to take years off their looks giving them increased confidence and, they feel, an edge to their looks. It appears that, like older workers, they feel it's important to invest in their looks, despite cutting back across other areas."

About The Harley Medical Group:
The Harley Medical Group is the UK's largest cosmetic surgery provider, performing more procedures and with more clinics than any other cosmetic surgery provider. It has been established for over 25 years and is one of the most highly-regarded Cosmetic Surgery Groups operating in the UK. It has conducted over 400,000 procedures to date.

Continuously pushing forward with the latest developments, The Harley Medical Group has recently added a constantly updated cosmetic surgery news service to their website, to help keep the public fully informed about any new developments within the industry.

In 2004, The Harley Medical Group's Chairman Mel Braham, at the request of the Department of Health became a member of the department's Steering Committee, set up to oversee the introduction of new regulations covering the entire Cosmetic Surgery sector. All of The Harley Medical Group's clinics are registered with the Healthcare Commission.

All new treatments and techniques are first thoroughly researched and tested before they are submitted for approval by the Group's Medical Advisory Committee, as being suitable for application by the Group's fully trained and specialized Plastic Surgeons, Doctors and Treatment Nurses.
